Help

Hi. I have a mk2 octavia vrs

Had a problem a few weeks ago and still ongoing with my car not starting. It's turning over just not firing. It's the manual diesel.

We have replaced fuel pumps and filter. Have looked into the ecu as it isn't communicating, although when we sent it off to be cloned. They came back saying it was communicating. So now we are stuck what to do next. 

Any ideas on our next plan of action? Whether we following wiring back, or go for relays/gateway control module
