2004 Fabia rough idle and cuts out

Featured Replies

I have a 2004 Skoda Fabia manual 100bhp.

When started up the engine will fluctuate between 1000 and 800 revs and sound as if it is on the verge of stalling. I can't get any codes to show on my scanner. However if I remove the plug to EGR control valve, the revs will be stable and will slowly drop.

I have checked spark and air filter and that's all good. But i have 0.3 volts going to injectors where it should have 12 volts on each injector. I have checked the fuse and its all good, but it also has 0.3 volts running through the fuseboard. I cannot find where the injector wiring runs to.

I have fitted new spark plugs and a new pre cat O2 sensor (the sensor fixed a previous issue it had)

Any help is greatly appreciated

Thanks

Forget the injectors, they're fine. You have a leak on the inlet side, check the vacuum line from the brake servo first, then look at the PCV and make sure it isn't blocked.
