Cable run from fusebox to drivers side?

Featured Replies

Can anyone assist with this please? Is there a way to get a power cable from the rear of the glovebox fuse panel across the car to the mini cubby under the steering wheel. I want to fit a USB socket in the blanked off hole. Is there a clear run behind there - can it be done without dismantling the dashboard?

Cheers

I’m sure it’s possible with a little gentle probing via a length of fairly stout wire with the cable attached to the rear………

As above, use a cable rod, welding rod or other thin but fairly stiff rod to poke about, i'm sure you can find a path with minimal dismantling of the dash.

Remove the side trim on both sides of the centre console, next to ur knees to gain easy access behind the climatronics.

U then run wires across comfortably.

Managed it with an old plumbing fish wire. Keeping it low across the "tunnel" it does eventually find a way. The hardest part was finding an earth which I found via the screw under the glovebox. Thanks for the advice. All working now.
