Cat back sound

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I fitted a hornet “race system” cat back exhaust, pretty impressed with build quality and was easy to fit once I managed to get the old exhaust off, what an amazing invention a grinder is!!

it’s been exactly a week, the wife was really mad I’d got one and upset I’d fitted it, as it’s the family car(but also mine) and possibly the best car iv ever had.

When first fitted I noticed the sound but a little shocked how quiet it was, kids and wife where teasing me.haha driving to today it made a distinct change in sound, heard turbo whoooosing were I didn’t in the few hundred miles iv done on it, but as I got used to it I now am shocked at the difference deeper and turbo spool, but it changes in 5mins of driving!! Worried something is broke cos of the split second change from a waste of money to the usual diesel with an exhaust sound, black and white change

i heard of a bed-in period but is this actually true, it wasn’t on my other cars!!

kind regards
