Digital Service Record - How do you access this?

Featured Replies

Hi folks,

'67-plate Octavia.  OEM dealer-serviced from new.

No service book so I guess a digital service record.

How can I view the vehicle's service record?

On another topic ...

The engine 1.4 petrol, has, I believe, an external cam belt.  At what age / mileage should this be changed?

Final question.

Is the olil pump belt, chain or gear driven?

Cheers

easiest way is mail [email protected] with your registration number and VIN

They'll probably get back to you on a few days, they did with me

Thanks.

Been "Chatting to a Human" on https://www.skoda.co.uk/discover/contact-us

Now have a single sheet of A4 with single-line date / what was done / mileage entries - e.g.

Service History
Date of Service Type of Service Vehicle Mileage
14/02/2024 Major/Full Service 43,166
14/02/2024 MOT (passed) 43,166
14/02/2024 Oil Change Service 43,166
09/06/2023 Minor/Interim Service 43,166
09/06/2023 Brake Fluid Change 43,166
09/06/2023 Oil Change Service 43,166
21/11/2022 MOT (passed) 38,723
25/11/2021 Cambelt Change 34,138

So at least it has had the cambelt done.

How is the oil pump powered - belt, chain or gears?

Skoda UK used to say 5 years, but that was out of line with the rest of the VAG empire, so now there's an inspection after 120,000km and replacement after 15 years or 180,000km.

Starting from 1st July, there has been a revision in the cambelt replacement guidance across the Volkswagen Group, including our vehicles. The previous five-year interval for cambelt replacement has been removed. Going forward, the replacement schedule will be based on mileage, aligned with the maintenance schedules established by our Elsa Pro system, which accurately determines these intervals. The enhanced reliability and extended change intervals of cambelts have led to the removal of the previous five-year recommendation. Instead, the new guidance outlines time or distance intervals, as specified in Elsa Pro. This change was implemented on Saturday, 1st July 2023. It is advisable to refer to Elsa Pro for the recommended intervals applicable to all engine types. In certain models, this may result in the absence of a service interval, with components designated as "fitted for life," effective for a span of 15 years or 180,000 miles. Please note that cambelts are considered wear-and-tear components and fall outside the coverage of the warranty beyond the initial three years or 60,000 miles. For personalised assistance and guidance, we encourage you to connect with your local Škoda Retailer. They are best positioned to provide tailored advice for your specific situation.
