Many thanks guys smile

Looks like i have to stick with diesels.

My choice would be the 2.0TSi 204 petrol. But they are still rare on the used market as it wasn't available at launch.

It's a slightly tweaked version of the later Mk3's 2.0TSi 190 and that is easily able to achieve 50mpg.

Hi guys,

any idea what is the recommended oil service for the DQ381 ?

looks like its 80k miles

Yep it's 80k

But if you search more you might find that's a maximum (and/or VW recommendation) and some would have it done well before that mileage interval. I don't know about this box but if you have 4X4, and/or tow heavy caravan or boats, it might be more important for sooner or later. Karoq owners might know from experience. Treat VW's recommendations for their scant "services" and "maintenance schedules" the same way you should MoT passes, as minimum level rather than necessary or better level standards.

Hi folks, I'm wondering what kind of gearbox is in my 2022 1.5TSI DSG Superb now. I have a VIN decoder which states "Transmission Code UYV" and "G1C 7-speed automatic transmission". Reg number is GK72OWJ. Is this a DQ200, and if so is that Service Schedule on page 1 of this thread right, and there's no service interval for it?

Cheers!

Yes, that's a DQ200.

Thanks, Pete. So, no service interval? Hmm. I think I might consider an oil and filter (if it has the latter?) change sometime in any case, maybe 50k miles, or 5 years.

Generally, unless it's causing you problems, just leave it. For now, anyway.

Depending on the use, you might wish to get the fluid changed (both gearbox and MCU) as you approach 100k miles or so. I wouldn't do it before 80k, but if it takes you a decade to get there then doing it sooner may, as you say, be a good idea.

I can't remember the general advice on a DQ200 (as in, what people/places recommend you do) but @Ootohere will.

@Alanovich There is no filter to change, but there are 2 oils. In the MCU and in the box.

Maybe consider changing at 100,000 miles.

There can be a reset done if needed in a year or 5 if needed.
