Control System for Exhaust Warning Light 1.2 CBZB engine

Featured Replies

My 1.2 litre Octavia has done about 120,000 miles and the warning light that looks like a little engine has come on, and won't go off!!

The service info shows no evidence of any relevant replacement parts ever having been fitted, and the Lambda Probe is not shown as ever having been replaced.

Is this likely to simply be a case of the catalytic converter needing replacement?  Do I have to do anything quickly, or will the car continue running OK??  My classic cars have none of these complications!!

Unlikely.

You need to have a diagnostic scan done, to see why the light has come on.

Any action before that is just guesswork, which can prove expensive and fruitless.
