Skoda Octavia 2014 2.0 TDI - Flashing Glow Plug Light, Loss of Power, Fault Codes P308D & P263500

Featured Replies

Hi Everybody.

Vehicle Details:

    •    Make/Model: Skoda Octavia 2014
    •    Transmission: Automatic
    •    Engine: 2.0 Diesel
    •    Mileage: 249,264 km

Issue:
While driving, the glow plug warning light flashes, and the car loses power (no pulling). When I switch the engine off and back on, the car pulls normally for a couple of minutes, but the issue returns in couple of minutes. I’ve already replaced all 4 glow plugs around 2,000 miles ago. I’ve also replaced the fuel pump control module and fuel filter (ensured air was purged).

Fault Codes:

    1.    P308D
    •    Description: Fuel pump, engine speed too low
    •    Control Unit: Engine control unit
    •    Status: Pending
    2.    P263500
    •    Description: Fuel Pump “A” Low Flow/Performance
    •    Control Unit: 01. Engine control unit
    •    Status: Test failed (current drive cycle), Pending, Test failed since last DTC clear, Warning indicator requested
    •    Additional Info:
    •    Priority: 2
    •    Frequency: 9
    •    Engine RPM: 1332
    •    Calculated engine load value: 21.96%
    •    Vehicle speed: 42 km/h
    •    Coolant temp: 24°C
    •    Oil temp: 29°C
    •    Barometric pressure: 100 kPa
    •    Voltage: 12V

Work Already Done:

    •    Replaced all glow plugs (2,000 miles ago)
    •    Replaced fuel pump control module
    •    Replaced fuel filter (air purged)

Any suggestions on what could be causing this? Any help is appreciated!

Did you get sorted with this?

I have the same P308d fault code on my 2.0 VRS.
