Rear camera being blocked by park assist

Featured Replies

Hi, I recently bought a 2021 Octavia VRS IV, car is great and super happy with it. I bought the car used from a Vauxhall garage and they had to do some work to get the rear camera to work.

However, there is still a problem with the camera. When the rear camera activates, it is blocked by the parking assist/sensors display. I have attached an image of it. Has anyone ever seen a problem like this? I have a theory that it’s configured for a left-hand drive car (screenshot attached) which would have the camera/parking aid switched.

Any help would be appreciated. Planning to go to a Skoda garage soon to see if they can diagnose it.

Thanks,

Mark

Sorry, the link won’t work. But I suspect it was calibrated properly either, I’ll see if I can pop into my local Skoda garage for them to take a look.

You need an infotainment software update. The camera looks to be configured correctly, for RHD

Hard to tell if it’s calibrated correctly from those images. We offer all in software update packages that include all of the available updates for the car performed here at our workshop for a fixed price
