Fuel gauge, stuck on m/t and full.

Featured Replies

2016 Model.  Occasionally the fuel gauge sticks on full when the tank is fairly full, no bother just wait for the level to drop a bit or shake the back end and it rights itself.

A couple of times recently on start up, the gauge showed empty with the warning light and “Tank empty. Please refill”, the  tank was ¾ full.  Is this another stuck float issue or an instrument problem?  Just curious…

We had that a few years ago.     Just looked at the report...I reported it back in Feb 2020, one month still left in warranty.

Fortunately I had reported this fault whilst still under warranty. At the time, they said they did a (Software update) to the fuel gauge/fuel pump.

Then of course it started doing the same again. (December 2020).  The report stated, Found bent pins on fuel pump. New fuel pump fitted.

This time it was replaced under the warranty, as I had already reported it.

So it could be possible that you have the same problem???

Thanks for the insight.  I'll see how it goes, if it becomes a problem it will go to the dealer, at least i'll have an idea of the possible problem/solution.
