Service notification

Featured Replies

Hi all,

recently had my 2019 superb serviced. Service intervals reset however I’m now being getting the notification on start up that it’s due in 365 days.

This seems overkill, surely it should let me know while I’m say 30 days (or X kms) out?

Any ideas on how to correct this myself? Can you change the notification interval somehow?

There would probably be videos showing how to reset the service intervals yourself but of course this would be out of line with when the last service was actually done and it might be that you get another 365 day warning(?).  I'd ask VWŠkoda Aus or whoever serviced your vehicle about this.

On my wife's 205 Fabia it does a 30 day warning countdown as the actual annual mileage done is always lower than the annual service mileage.  IIRC a mate's old Ren-No! Nissan Micra showed it was thousands of days overdue on service.

I had wondered if resetting would just cause me to get the same 360 days notice however it seems to have worked?! No notifications as yet so maybe it was just one of those random things.

Well done.  Always remember these computers and computer programs have brain-farts and glitches, never fully trust them check whatever they tell when required.  It took me a good number of attempts to reset the oil and then inspection on my wife's 2015 Fabia using the trip reset button.  Oil I manage in about two or three attempts and inspection a few more, I carefully followed the same procedure each time so I've no idea why I was successful and unsuccessful.

Lets hope that you have it sorted until next year.  Good luck.
