Front washer blade

Featured Replies

Fan jet "blade" in my passenger side washer came out today, luckily it stayed in the drain gully. Driver side one had "emerged" slightly.

I guess the really hot weather and high temperatures (reached 33 degrees yesterday) may have softened the plastic a bit, didn't see any crystallised washer fluid around though, and have had no blockage problems to date. I use a 25% mix of Unipart DX screen washer concentrate this time of year, stronger in winter but haven't had any problems during the winter or last summer.

Pushed the blade back into the housing slot but which way up does the square notch that the fluid squirts from go (top or bottom)? With it at the top the fan seems to spray the screen and much more than previously, but works OK otherwise.

Do they fit flush, push right in up to a stop point or is it a case of adjust to get best pattern?
