Windows problem need help

Featured Replies

went abroad some months ago & returned to heavy condensation & windows wouldn't work.

I have since checked wiring, changed the drivers door motor, had the comfort control out & no noticeable faults,

but still no windows.

I decided to put everthing back together & go to a garage for a diagnostic check; however as the door lock pin had fallen out I

needed to undo the door lock to re-attach; the lock was stubborn & whilst trying to move it all 4 windows fully opened & now they won't

close.

Hopefully someone can solve my predicament.

I'd start by looking at the wiring and checking for continuity.

Not sure if its the same as my Fabia but the drivers window motor controls the other windows as well. If it fails then none work. I got mine repaired by someone on here but can't remember the name( might be Breezypete?). Its a couple of components I think a capacitor and a resistor that fail on the Fabia. Put the repaired unit in and no problems. If the motor does control the other windows it could also be a broken wire that comes through near the door hinge.
