Squeak from suspensions/underbody?

Featured Replies

Hey everyone,

owner of a 2024 Karoq SportLine with about 7000 km

It's been a month or so that I've started to hear a pretty noticable squeak from under the vehicle right as I step off and on in the driver seat.

While driving everything seems fine, even on speedbumps.

Does anybody have an idea of what could it be??

I mean not even my 20+ year old car made such noises..

Yes strange noises, my Kamiq does the same.

Not every day and every time I get in/out. Getting out of the car first thing in the morning after driving it out of the garage was the first time I noticed it. Second time I rocked the car and heard the squeak quite loud. I've sprayed silicone up around the spring mounts and all around any bushes sighted to do with the suspension, still squeaks but only occasionally.

Conclusion, it can't be anything serious, just seems to come and go, no real obvious situation when it squeaks.🤔

Well that is messed up.

Not sure how many km/miles do you have on yours but mine is brand new. Not even 5 months 😭

I also happens to have another weird thing that is less frequent but still happens right as I step off the vehicle

Have a look a this -- https://drive.google.com/file/d/18mHuId2hx89e4-zjxp3vI1DVBTxf_lt-/view?usp=sharing

It's basically a short knock (it just so happens that it did this while I was rocking the car)

Mines 2020 with 21k miles.

All kinds of clicks when getting in or exiting the car, it's the systems starting/shutting off, especially the steering I've noticed.

Luckily steering is fine on mine 😮‍💨🙂

I'm sure you can tell the difference between electronics and mechanical parts, in my case that is definitely something not related to starting or stopping the vehicle nor any kind of electronics.

I have booked an appointment with my local Service, let's see what comes up.

I hope it won't just be a matter of spraying some silicone on the suspensions otherwise I guess I will have to come back every 4 months or so 🙄
