Karoq Questions

Featured Replies

Hello, just to introduce myself I’ve recently acquired a ŠKODA Karoq 4x4, 2.0 TDi manual and I have some questions.

The car came with 1 year warranty and new GT radial tyres but I’m not overly confident with them and I was thinking in buying either Bridgestone or Continental, I don’t even want to hear about Michelin. This is my fourth ŠKODA being well familiar with the brand.

I want to add some modifications to make it mine like they say, basically to put black badges everywhere and dechrome it. The colour of the car is blue and I think with black badges end eventually black wheels it will stand better in the crowd. I was also thinking to install door lights to light the foot area when you embark or exit the car.

I also want to add some extra VCDS options so  if you know someone that can do this kind of mods in South Yorkshire I will appreciate a hint/direction.

Also looking for some advice from where to buy rubber mats and front and rear mudflaps as the car it seem to get really dirty and mucky in this wet weather.

The car is 19 plate can I also ask if there is any chance of activating rear lights to work in the same time as DRL ?

Do you recommend Halfords in installing a dash cam?

Mudflaps and rubber mats- I got mine from EBay, there are a number of Skoda dealers whose parts dept have shops on EBay. Mud flaps are a diy job, there’s a guide on the forum, Skoda rubber mats are straight swap for the fitted fabric mats, they are tray mats so any muck and water stays on the mats,
