Trim Levels

What are people's opinions on the value of getting the L&K over the SEL? Is the extra cost worth it?

From my perspective only if you want/need most of the features. What is worth considering is the second hand value. Most valuations are based on the model/ trim level, not the individual options added. So I’d expect an L&K to hold its value a bit better than an SE L with similar options added. So if you want a car with a similar spec to the L&K then it’s worth considering if the extra cost for the options you don’t want are offset by the resale value.

I should be collecting my new Superb 1.5 SE L later this week. I currently have a Mk3 2.0 Superb L&K.

I thought hard about another L&K but decided I did not want a diesel and did not need 4 wheel drive and the extra cost.

I have specced the SE L with 'Suite Cognac memory seats' & Canton sound system because I liked these in the L&K

I have also had the full tow bar to use a bike carrier to avoid having to lift heavy ebikes into the boot.

I might miss the 2.0 power a bit but can live with that. Wifey says I drive too fast anyway for an old (71) git!

Enjoy the new car. Still waitng for my build slot target is for end December.  Agree that with eBikes a tow hitch rack makes sense.
