  1. My Superb Mk4 is my fifth car with keyless locking, none have drained the keyfob battery as fast as this one. Also, have you tried not being rude for 5 minutes?
  2. I have found that the battery in my Superb's key fob dies very quickly because the car and key fob are in constant communication (The red light on the key flashes even when it's quite a distance from the car.) I live in a long thin house, with my car parked alongside it I have to store my keys as far away as possible so that they can't communicate with the car. I do this after having the key fob battery die suddenly, with no warning, in as little as 3 months. I have never had this problem with any other car including a MK3 Superb.
  3. Every other car I've had with phone integration could be operated with the steering wheel controls, including my MK3 Superb.
  4. This does seem like a backward step, and a road safety issue too. I just tend not to use the phone in my Superb now while I'm on the move.
  5. My MK3 Superb changed the lights (not LED Matrix, obviously) for driving on the right and the speedometer and so on to metric automatically when I took it to Europe, I think it may have been linked to the sat-nav. I was hoping my MK4 would do the same as I intend to take it abroad at some point.
  6. Just me and a passenger, we did have 2 large suitcases in the boot and there's no spare wheel. My car has done just over 12,000 miles, it did improve slightly as it got more miles on it but dropped about 5mpg on my usual 45 mile commute in November and December, which I'm assuming was due to colder temperatures and winter mix diesel.
  7. I have a 150 TDI SEL estate, earlier this week I drove from the south coast in West Sussex to North Yorkshire in wintry conditions with ambient temperatures between -4C and +3C. I had the ACC set at an indicated 70mph where appropriate and had a couple of roadworks and some congestion to deal with. Starting with a full tank of diesel I did 334 miles and after that the dashboard said my car had 570 miles of range left giving a total of 904 miles on a tank of diesel. (The app said 60.1mpg average). I don't think that's too bad for such a big car and I was just driving normally.
  8. I changed my clock setting to 'Automatic ', which is automatically 12 hours out.
  9. When I turn my stereo on, or restart my car when I've not switched the stereo off when I stopped the engine, the sound comes back on at a very loud level and then settles down to the level I had it set at after about 20 seconds. Does anyone else have this issue? And does anyone know how to stop it?
  10. I once got 920 miles from a tank full in my 150 TDI estate. I usually get about 800 miles from a tank without trying. Obviously I'm going to have to up my game now.
  11. What gareth71 said.
  12. Mine must be getting updates several times a week then.
  13. You might have to go into vehicle settings and in the brakes section toggle Auto Hold on. My Superb keeps turning this function off and I have to reset it. If anyone knows how to stop this happening I'd love to know.
  14. I had a MK3 hatch and now I have a MK4 estate, both 150 TDI in SEL trim. The MK4 is a slightly better drive and has more equipment on it, but the 'assistance' systems are far too sensitive.
  15. I'm staying in a hotel and my Skoda Superb MKIV estate is parked next to a VW Passat latest model ( Chrome grille, I think it's the Elegance trim?) and an Audi A6 Avant. I may be biased but I think my Superb looks the classiest with the most premium design. Thoughts...
