Engine Management light on!

my engine management light appeared on last night, i know the cause :rolleyes: but cannot take it to a stealer to have it reset :o

anyone know a place in Cardiff or Newport that can fix this problem?

any help would be much appreciated,

you can buy cheap code reader/resetters from e-bay... I got one for £30 and it works a treat :)

Can't you just disconnect the battery for a bit?? On my CTR if you get the CEL light you can either disconnect the battery or pull fuse No.6 (ECU fuse) under the bonnet, leave for a few minutes the put the fuse back and hey presto and fault codes have gone! :cool:

easy to use, pull out the can cooler, plug in with ignition off, turn ignition on, press read engine... it'll give the fault code, (you get a book to look it up too) press erase, it'll ask you if you're sure, press erase again, and job done! back to normal :)
