my engine management light appeared on last night, i know the cause but cannot take it to a stealer to have it reset

anyone know a place in Cardiff or Newport that can fix this problem?

any help would be much appreciated,

you can buy cheap code reader/resetters from e-bay... I got one for £30 and it works a treat

Can't you just disconnect the battery for a bit?? On my CTR if you get the CEL light you can either disconnect the battery or pull fuse No.6 (ECU fuse) under the bonnet, leave for a few minutes the put the fuse back and hey presto and fault codes have gone!

easy to use, pull out the can cooler, plug in with ignition off, turn ignition on, press read engine... it'll give the fault code, (you get a book to look it up too) press erase, it'll ask you if you're sure, press erase again, and job done! back to normal
