Creaks And Clicking Sounds Coming From Doors(Or B pillar)

Featured Replies

Hey there, I have a Fabia 2023. The car is stored in a garage approximately 1 year as brand new and I have it for the last 6 months. Mileage is very low around 6k kilometers.

For the last 3-4 weeks it developed some creak noises that ı can't locate exact position. This noise usually occurs on bumpy roads, when passing by speed bumps etc but also sometimes occurs on smooth silky roads when i drive slow or make turns.

I am not sure the source, checked window seals, b pillar, plastic covering on doors, safety belt slider part  but could not find an answer.

Beside trim noises i love my car but this creaking and random pops and clicks coming from driver side door(and random rattles somewhere in the dash and boot but they are tolerable comparing to this) makes me crazy. Has anyone ever experienced something like this?

Creaks are audible entire length of video but you can hear it easily around 14-15 seconds.

Hi! Greetings from Finland. I have the same frustrating noise in my 2022 Fabia. Have not been able to locate it but it seems to come from the passanger side dashboard, maybe. It comes very often, also in low speed and good asphalt, and more often when it gets colder.

Just found the below discussion. Might this be the reason? Please let me know if you find the solution.

Previous cars have occasionally had cable loom , that should be held in place by a sticky pad,

has come adrift and the whole lot tat, tap ,taps.

Squeaks, the plastic trip joints spray or wipe some silicone polish or similar between the joints.

Rather than, or alternative, to silicone spray, - GT85.  Very good for many other uses too better than WD-40 Multi-Use spray. - https://gt85.co.uk/
