Superb Mirror Dip Fault

Featured Replies

Hey guys, I have a problem with my Superbs auto dip mirror feature and I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with similar problems.

So I've been using this feature since getting the car ~half a year ago. Knob is in R and the right mirror used to dip when I was reversing. Now I does not dip or if I put it in reverse multiple times it dips and goes back up instantly.

I've made a video showcasing the problem. What could be the faulty component? I'll attach my VCDS to look for any error codes later.

TBO I thought it was only the left hand mirror that dropped when  you selected reverse.

Logic was that by dropping the nearside mirror on a RHD car you would see the where the Kerbside was when reversing,

I'm pretty sure for LHD cars the passanger mirror dips.

Yes it does.

Just a question: How old is your battery?

An old battery can mess this. I've seen it on the Mk3 of a friend. She couldn't adjust her passenger mirror, it was moving in opposite directions compared to joystick demand and could not dip upon reverse either.

@Trinity99 - u could try running through the reverse mirror dip learning process again, as per the user manual, to see if that fixes the issue.

other things that come to mind is potentially a faulty seat controller module (#36).  there has been a TPI issued for it, that updates the software/firmware from version B H08 0021 to version C H09 0024.

Hi JR, I've changed the battery dip worked fine for some time, but the problem came back.

Could you point me to the direction where I could find the learning process you mentioned? Can't seem to find it.
