Just introducing myself, been lurking for about 6 months. This does seem to be the place for technical advice so I finally signed up.

I live in Co. Durham, not too far from Hamsterley Forest.

Currently have a 2010 Octavia Scout on 127k. It spent a bit of life at Morpeth (near the coast) as it's a bit rusty underneath with many flaky/manky looking bolt heads.

So far I have serviced it including the filter and fluid for the rear wheel drive gearbox, replaced one of the front wheel bearings, a rear door regulator and the wire for the window mechanism. I sourced a jack kit, matching alloy spare wheel, refurbished a second hand tow bar and fitted it. I am currently working my way through various parts at the rear that include bushes to get rid of various clunks. The arb mounting bushes are a strong suspect, but they look like a pain to get out. Then I'll sort the handbrake cables and start on the slightly clunky front end. 

I'll also be looking into Bluetooth options for the stereo.

Other than that, very happy with it. Lots of similarities to the MK4 Golf PD130 I had before.
