Driving Data resets

Featured Replies

Hi, I recently bought a 2021 Octavia PHEV and I absolutely love it.

With my lifestyle I am able to take full advantage of the battery in local driving and only normally need the petrol engine of longer journeys, perhaps 1 per month.

I am trying to keep a log of the Driving Data using the infotainment system but the system keeps zeroing and losing my long term data.

Please can anyone explain why this happens and what I can do to prevent it

Many thanks

Summo

Welcome to the forums; and pleased to hear you're enjoying your Octavia - I really like mine for comfort, space and efficiency.

It usual that the Long Term data is reset automatically after 99 hours or 9999km (or whatever the mile equivalent is); to my knowledge there is no way to change that.

Hi Steve. Thanks for your prompt reply but I have not got close to either of those parameters since I have had the car, and anyway it seems to reset after a couple of journeys.

Mmmmmmmm?

Have you tried looking at the data through the Škoda App?

There are two versions My Skoda and My Skoda Essentials - both show the car data but in different forms. One by date/time period (e.g. day, week, month) the other (Essentials) similar to the car (Since Start, Since Refuelling, Long Term). In theory, the latter should show the same as the car.

Having said that, I speak as the owner of a petrol model not an IV but I would expect similar views of the data.

Car does not store this data, it is stored online. So you may loose data in case of issues with communications module (which are super common), or if Skoda is screwing up your user profile on their side. I would expect Skoda workshops to have fix for that, but if out of warranty, may be costly.
