Normal engine sound?

Featured Replies

Sound terrible and I have poor hearing.  Tell us then, how many miles done, when were the spark plugs replaced?   Someone has not replaced the cam belt have they?     Best go see a mechanic and that is one familiar with 1.5 TSI ACT,s.

Only done around 30k so you'd like to think it isn't a cam belt issue!

I have a 2018 with the same engine. Something isn't right with yours.

@rapidlyf just asking incase someone had messed up doing the cam belt.   No warning lights, so not enough misfired logged in a cycle.   ? Have the spark plugs been changed?

Yeah that's fair. I'm not sure about the spark plugs tbh - it's my wife's car and she's owned it for about a year and a half and it's had normal services - but I don't think Skoda always include spark plugs in their services... Do you reckon it could be to do with them?

Thats the EVAP pipe split.

Had it go on mine, if you take the engine cover off there is a hard plastic pipe which is known to break/split if you push it back together the noise will return to normal. Fix is a replacement pipe though, takes about 10 minutes to fit.
