Facelift Elegance Xenon Light Trim Ring Dilemma

Featured Replies

Hi All

I’m really not having much luck finding a solution to my problem, so hopefully someone here might know.

I have a (literally just purchased) 14 Elegance estate. Of course that means it gets the flash bi-xenon dancing lights. However, the chrome trim ring for the ‘eye’ has come off (or unclipped) and has fallen down over the lens (see pics) blocking the light.

My question is - has anyone come across this before? Can you open up the light enough to fit it back or do I have to try and split the lens off the housing? I’m hoping not the latter as I’m paranoid about breaking the light and can’t find a replacement anywhere for love nor money. Skoda isn’t a huge market in NZ so what few cars there are around being wrecked aren’t the facelift model.

Any ideas or suggestions or solutions gratefully appreciated

thanks
