Armrest replacement from Aliexpress

Featured Replies

Hi , I own the Skoda rapid 2014 1.4 TSI and the Armrest latch was broken and the whole armrest unit needs to replaced

Mine appears to be bolted down and I saw the OEM prices and I'd rather not invest that much If i can avoid it.

I saw this Universal armrest on Aliexpress and wondering If I can use it in my vehicle.

The problem is I don't know if the layout will be the same after I remove the original armrest,

Has anyone maybe bought one of this armrests and can share their experience ?

Thank you

Thank you for the answer @DunDunFather

Before you got the armrest from ebay did you have the oem armrest that's bolted down ?

because according to what you sent me I need to have this rectangle and half a circle and I don't know if it will look like this after I remove the oem armrest

Then remove it and see!

I have one of the Ali ones in the Yeti, it never had the factory Jumbo Box armrest & I think it had something like in the photo, the Ali armrest was very wobbly when fitted as it was intended so I made up some screw fixings, its not as secure as a factory fit which bolts to the transmission tunnel but not bad.

Its a very good box with upper and lower compartments and also a secret compartment, also USB sockets which I did not connect up as I have one in the dashtop box from the Chinese head unit.

No, I didn't have the OEM armrest so my Rapid looks like the picture you've posted.
