Infotainment update problem

Featured Replies

Does anyone have knowledge of skoda connect and online?

It seems to be buggy software, which is noticeable when you try to make yourself the main user of the car.

The first time there was trouble when I bought connect and wanted to activate the car. Ended up with skoda support wanted to send the car to the workshop.

I finally managed to get it working myself after reading many forums. The last attempt, if I remember all the attempts, was to disconnect the battery for a certain time.

Now I want to update the map material in the infotainment system, which requires online service.

It should only be able to update via OTA (over the air) if I have understood correctly.

When I have now acquired it and try to get this into the car, the status is that I have lost both connect and online.

New turn with Skoda support gives the same result. They want to have the car in the workshop, to update 2 software for SEK 3000

Now disconnecting the battery does not help. Has anyone had similar problems?

Anyone know what problems the buggy software platform has and if Skoda gives any goodwill, when after all you pay for a service that doesn't work because of buggy software?

Does anyone know what the workshop do, when they have to update 2 software?

Do you get any new software with bug fixes or is the solution based on them reinstalling existing software?

Does anyone know how to fix these problems without a workshop visit?

Just download the newest navigation software from the Skoda online update internet page. And expand it to your HD. After that copy it to a USB-stick (min. 64 GB) and put it in the car and update. This will take a while but in the end you will have a navigation update.
