Rear Brake Caliper

Featured Replies

Hello, I’m looking to buy a Repair Kit Rear Caliper for my Skoda Octavia 2.0 TDI 170hp.

Is there anyone that did this job before?

I found a Kit Autofren Seinsa D4846C which is 38mm but for Lucas, my Caliper is TRW, is it good for my Caliper?

I found you could get calipers for not much more than the cost of a service kit, that saved the time and mess of a rebuild. Just a thought.

Hi, I would have to go with Me-109, I picked up a pair of OEM calipers for £42 and some pennies from eBay earlier this year, they went on easily and so for no problems. I had previously dismantled one of the old ones that was seized, and cleaned and rebuilt it, which was fine if not rather fiddly. I would also say that if you go the rebuild route, then getting the right parts is essential.

I tried to look for a Caliper but found two different numbers : TRW BHN952 and TRW BHN952E, which are the differences between them?

The 'E' looks like it means it's an exchange priced part, that is you need to send them your old one and then you get a part-refund on the price of the replacement. The onlyones I've seen like that with a quick look are more expensive even factoring in the return refund.
