Wheel alignment

Featured Replies

When changing tires on my Superb IV -20 I did a wheel alignment. When I came home I saw in the protocol that camber front right is outside specification. According to the workshop they can’t adjust camber on this vehicle.

Are they right and more importantly, how does this impact my vehicle? (Bought it 2 months ago).

They either don't know how (if they're looking for eccentric adjusters) or don't want the hassle (if they know what's involved). You have to loosen off the bolts and bump the subframe across the chassis.

It'll make a slight difference to tyre wear and handling side to side but not that you'd really notice, there are so many other variables involved especially on the road.

Thank you AlistairCookie, I’ll have a chat with them about moving the subframe. If they don’t want to do this it sounds like it is not worth the money going somewhere else.
