It was a fair old queue by 8 am last year too

indeed, i hope to be there for about 7:30 - 8:00 this year to try and best some queuing

I'm staying up that way and will be leaving the south Leicestershire area at about 6am to try and beat the queues. I see it best to be in at 7 and on stand by 8.
