Octavia 1 2004 1.9 TDI 66kw board fuel consumption inaccurately

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have Octavia 1 1.9 TDI from 2004  with 404.000 km.

Lately I noticed that real fuel consumption ( from refueling to next refueling and then calculation consumption ) is higher than my board estimate fuel consumption.

Difference is aroung 2 liters per 100km.

Now I went to fuel station, computer says 5,0l/100km from last refil and my calculation says 7l/100km based on filled fuel and kilometers driven.

With OBD11 I scanned car for error codes and there are none errors on any module.

Injection deviation on idle is max +0,35 to -0,40mg/H on two injectiors, other two are around -0,10mg/H to +0,10mg/H.

Car is driven in city on short distances but I don't think that shoud be reason for almost 30% inaccurate board fuel consumption.

What could be reason for that much difference in board and real fuel consumption?

Thank you.

Fuel flow meter is not correctly calibrated: Most people just live with it.
