Struggling to change Side Light Bulb (O/S)

Featured Replies

Morning all, I'm struggling to change my sidelight bulb on the drivers' side.  Have done what I have been able to glean online so far which involved taking out the indicator bulb to get to the area where the dustcover sits but it's SO tight in there I can't get my hand in to pull out the electrics.

Apart from gaining a Hand Transplant from an Elf, can anyone please suggest what I can try - do I need to take out the headlamp to do this (and how is this possible?)

Cheers in advance for any help!

undo the fuel filter mounts, 3x torx screws (no need to disconnect hoses nor ground cable nearby), move fuel filter out of the way a little and there is enough access for this job and all other headlamp bulb replacement jobs. On the passenger side, undo the battery and shift it towards centre of the car, same effect.

Cheers, many thanks for your help on this!

This was a problem many years ago when I first got mine. People came up with various ideas, the one that helped me was crocodile clips, the size you get on a battery charger, with one side shortened,  you could then grab the bulb holder, making sure you don't grab the wire's.
