MkII THROTTLE BODY

Featured Replies

Hoping anyone could confirm:

Iv been advised that I need to change my throttle body, my question is:

Can I use part 03F133062B instead of 03F133062.

I don't know what the "b' refers to

Really struggling to find the latter. I've ordered a 'B' to try it but you know what it's like with out a car!

Thanks in advance to any advice.

Chris.

If you let me know the reg plate number or VIN I can look up the current part number suggested.

Different suffixes can indicate quite different, incompatible parts sometimes.

Have you read 03F133062 off the existing TB?

Hi Breezy - RK64 FGA

yes - read it off previous what's currently on there.

I did order a new throttle pedal but had a technician to trouble shoot he really thinks it's the electrics within the throttle body

Did the replacement pedal get tried? Will look up about TB in a few minutes.

No but he showed me all the information on the vdcs thing showing the pedal was all the correct readings and stuff... I mean it's literally plug and play so I could give it a go.

03F 133 062 is what is listed for your car, and it has not been superseded by any other part number. Skoda want £477 + VAT!!

A quick look on ebay suggests you could get a secondhand 03F 133 062 for £50, which might be worth the gamble.  I don't see posts about failures very often at all on here, so I think they're generally pretty reliable, therefore used ones may well be fine.

In the case of this part, I wonder if the different suffix letters might indicate different diameters, for different engine sizes? Just a guess.

Worth a good look at the wiring near it first though, in case there's some obvious damage/corrosion of connector contacts etc.

Hey breezy I don't suppose you have any links? When I googled the part it said the correct part number but when you press the item it then shows the "B" suffix.

I've spent what feels like ages looking for the correct one. Like I said I've ordered one with B I'll install it (if it's fits) if it doesn't return it..

Thanks for your help Pete I think I've just found one

Update to anyone who unfortunately needs to do this: the model with B at the end does work.. or it is currently working better than before! Seems like it's also sorted then extreme rattle when you first start the engine somehow!
