Used Fab vRS value?

Featured Replies

Does anyone have a current Glass's Guide handy? Could they look up the book price for my vRS? It's an 04 reg, 30,000 miles, standard spec (no options or mods).

What's the book price, what could I expect selling private and what could I expect part exchange from a dealer?

Thanks.

Mines March 04.....22k miles....Private may be £9k.....Dealer on trade in for New Octy Mk 2 vRS £8000/£8500............

Picked up this tip on here...go to vauxhall's web site and using the menus at the top go to owners and click value your car and you can access free Glass's valuations.

Thanks dan123,

Vehicle summary

Skoda Fabia vRS

1.9TD Diesel 5-door Hatchback

6 Speed Manual Front Wheel Drive

Year: 2004 04

Mileage: 30,000

Estimated value of your car

Part-exchange Price:

Excellent condition: £8130

Average condition: £7350

Below average condition: £6540

All valuations given are based on a single transaction with a bona fide motor dealer involving the sale of the consumer's car in part exchange for the purchase of a different car from the same dealer.

Values are not cash values, replacement prices, private sales values or insurance settlements and therefore must not be used for any other valuation purposes whatsoever.

Good innit?

Also I just remembered...I was recently told that Glass's valuations are known in the trade as "J Lo's"....because they're always a grand behind....CAP values are usually lower.

The CAP clean price for mine ('04 54) is £500 lower than the Glass' valuation, although some dealers do use Glass' guide anyway.

All the dealers I've bought cars from I've seen using the Glasses' guide, although that might just be for the value of their car ... the CAP value is probably used for the px value of my car!
