Hi, Can anyone tell me if you can by expansion bottle without the mit silikat package that fits directly on my Skoda Octavia vrs 245 challenge edition 2.0 TSI petrol Hatchback 2018 model.

Ask Skoda Dealship today when they had my car in to check it and said they couldn't find it, it looks like it been took out, but also said to me it is very difficult to see with the coolant tank being double skinned. 

Advised me to go on the forums for advice and ask what expansion bottle without the mit silikat  bottle that fits directly on my car?

Let me know part number and where can l get this from?

I ordered mahle for my 1.6 tdi find that by vin code

From local internet part store but you can try https://www.autodoc.co.uk or something similar

Skoda / VAG keep on changing the part number.  The current part number is 5Q0121407AA and there are loads of places selling them online.  None of the latest gen of header tanks come with the Silica Teabag.

Just went in and asked for an expansion tank for my 66 diesel Octavia with the reg no. and specifically said it must NOT be stamped MIT SILIKAT

 

 Took about 15 mins to change it. Get a turkey baster to empty it before disconnecting anything and then fill it back up with what you took out, simples

Found same id for answer previous topic- but wasted time since id is already present in this topic 😀
