Hi All - BKD Turbo issue

Featured Replies

My turbo needs to come out, google hasn't been helpful as I wanted. Lack of good mechanics so I am getting stuck in. I am upgrading my turbo and I want  to get rid of the EGR system too, but I have hit snags.

I want to get my octavia to a showroom condition and so sorting things out.

In the engine bay I have taken out the air filter all the way to the turbo intake, I took the T30 at the top of the intake - but underneath I have no space to get my grips to release the bottom of the turbo intake from the bottom. In the engine bay I disconnected the big silver EGR pipe from the EGR valve to the EGR cooler but I can't take it out.

NOW, underneath the turbo, I had to uno the oil pipe from the turbo, but I need to remove it from the engine block as behind it sits the bottom bolt of the turbo.

Now back up top, if I get the bottom stuff open, how can I take off the EGR cooler and the EGR , then I think I could remove the 8 bolts of the inlet and finally remove the turbo. I only opened one side of the prop shaft to make space, but I haven't much room as I am working from my garden with the car up just so high.

I will share anything I know, for now I need help please, help with the Turbo.
