Hello! My hubby has a 2015 Fabia lll, 1.2 TSI 90hp SE L. We are sick of paying through the nose for 215/45R16 tyres and not being able to fit the tyre we have fitted to our other cars. We also live out in the sticks which means a 15" would be a more comfortable and practical size.

 

My question is, if we can get our hands on a set of 15" alloys as fitted to the same car but in a SE spec that take the more popular 185/60R15 tyres will they be a straight swap?

 

Any advice much appreciated.

Yes, and maybe even fit the 15" with winter tyres, so get the best of both worlds, that is what I did for my wife's 2015 VW Polo 1.2TSI 110PS 6MT, though if you are doing huge mileage, maybe this does not address your most important issue of frequent tyre changing, my wife's 2015 has only run 52,000 miles and both the 16" summer tyres and 15" winter tyres are not half worn down yet.
