Is it me or is the website I used to use to check for recalls not working for UK cars anymore?   I used to go to https://recall.skoda-auto.com/004/en-com and pop in my VIN and it worked.  I have 2x UK Skoda's (Karoq and Fabia) and now it just says "Please, contact your authorized service partner to validate the VIN"

 

It is definately the right VIN and it is the same for both VIN's I have.

Even when your VIN does work that is no guarantee that all Recall Campaigns, Recall Actions, Works Shop Actions or even full DVLA Safety Critical Recalls will show.

Says the same for me.

So the Škoda Website can't decode Škoda VIN's, but numerous 3rd party websites can....

At least its not just me 🙂

On a related subject, I can decode all my VIN except the last 6 digits 112453   which are apparently the "line and year".
Ais it is a P which is summer 22 to summer 23    (first registered in April 2024)  I wonder if   the   112453 (23) or 112453 (3)  indicates the mfr year?  With other digits the week or month, probably week, and the line.
