Kodiaq 2018 Availability of Body Panels

Featured Replies

On January 15 I had a prang in my Kodiaq. Thankfully only the front bumper and grill were damaged. Lights all ok

Put the car into the body shop recommended by the insurer.

I've been told that the grill is on 'back order' with no delivery date being available from Skoda.

Just received text from my insurer advising a notional date of February 28 but no firm guarantee that the needed parts will be available then.

Seems a very long time for what I would have thought would be a very popular replacement part.

Is this the norm with Skoda?

Grateful if other forum members would share their experiences re availability of panels for body repairs.

Back in Sept 2023, so probably not a good guide to the current situation, I had two doors and and wing replaced (don't ask!). I don't recall how long it took, but I wasn't surprised by the time, nor was there a long delay before the vehicle was booked in, or any report of a delay in obtaining parts.

Thanks Simon for your input.

Grateful for other forum members input and experiences.

i've been waiting for an interior sill trim since Christmas that is apparently on back order (dealer repair), other dealers have them in stock as do other sites online, but my dealer is waiting for one to come direct from Skoda (or waiting for me to forget), maybe Skoda have certain rules for parts acquisitions?

Hi Tom,

Thanks for sharing.

I’m pleased to say that the grill turned-up Thursday last week.

Seems a long wait for such an obvious item that will be routinely damage in accidents.

Hopefully you’ll not be waiting to long 'till you get yours.
