Is anyone able to tell me where I can get the rear exhaust box for my = 2014 Mk 3 Octavia 1.4 Tsi petrol hatchback ?

I wrote to an ebay supplier giving all the info' they asked for, but no reply  Thank you for any replies.

My location is Lincolnshire

You should be able to go into most exhaust centres across the UK.  The car is modern enough for this.  If you want a genuine Skoda/VAG product, then yes, more expensive.  Most exhaust centres use patented parts.

Thank you for your reply. However, as an aside, I contacted an exhaust dealer on ebay - supplied all the details asked for

and they have replied today saying that they DO NOT have parts to fit my car - and that is the answer I get everywhere.

Infuriating to say the least

ebay is probably not your friend in this instant. 

 

Try somewhere like National Tyres or Kwik Fit.  You should have more luck there.

I did as you suggested (today) = go to an exhaust centre.  I got a quote for just the rear silencer for £424.80 inc' vat and fitting ?

Where did you go to for that price?  Have you phoned around other places to check out their pricing too?  Don't just take the first price given to you...

I asked the fitting centre for a price breakdown ==== The actual part only (rear silencer box) is priced at an eye watering £340 pounds

Hi I purchased skoda parts from these my back box was approx 250

Also found clickcarparts on ebay decent for oem parts

Do you not have any local motor factors?

I'm assuming that you are quite price sensitive.  What are your expectations on price for a rear silencer?
