Retrofit MFSW diferent year

Featured Replies

Hello,

I'm new here, so I was wondering if you guys could help me. My problem is the following:

I want to install a new MFSW. I found a cheap one for 100 euros in my country, but it's from a Škoda Octavia A7. I currently have an older model of MFSW in my Yeti, and I was wondering—Is it plug-and-play, or do I need to mess with the wiring?

Thank you all!

Others may know better but I think you can more or less guarantee it won't be plug-n-play.

If lucky there will only be some coding to do which OBD11 may handle but in the worst case you could be looking at a replacement clock spring assembly plus coding with VCDS.

What is the reason for the swap?

Thank you for your reply.

No, that is not worth it for me because it is only for the looks and nothing more.

Is it possible to ask you here, or do I need to open a new thread? I have regular side mirrors with, I think, 7 wires (heated, dim function, puddle light, turn signal), but I want ones with a folding option, which have 9 wires. I will attach a picture of my door module.

My question is: Do I need to change my modules, or will this one work?

PS: in VCDS i see option for folding mirrors (now is off)

What's the steering wheel to do with the folding mirrors?

Hello,

I'm sorry about that. Maybe I didn’t mention it, but I’m new here. I asked whether I need to open a new thread for this topic or if it's okay to ask here. Sorry for the confusion—I will open a new thread.
