So the question is what are the differences between those 2 engines that are put on Octavia, Golf and Leon facelifts since 2024 ?

 

Just by looking at them they seem 100% the same, even the turbo size is the same.

Most likely just a detuned version for the 115 - less fuel injected and lower boost pressure.

Yes, lots of makers do this now, if i'm not mistaken.

 

I was looking at the 128t 1 series and the 135i M Sport has the same 2l Turbo'd engine (just tuned differently  (I think)

 

Yes, I settled on a 118i and power is still reasonable. I would have chosen the next one in-between the 118 and 128, but there isn't one  Lol.
