Skoda Karoq 2.0 TDI stage 1 tuning

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I have a Skoda Karoq 2.0 TDI year 2023, it’s 2wd and 85kW. Engine model is EA288, i think!

I’m looking forward to tune it from 115HP to 155-160HP with a stage 1 tune.

Did anyone have any experience with this? What would you recommend regarding air filter and brakes? What impact might it have on a 7speed DSG gearbox?

Thank you!

According to dtintecno.de, the 2.0TDI 116PS engine remaps to the same power as the 2.0TDI 150PS engine, as shown below.

Karoq

2.0TDI 85kW/116PS 300Nm engine remaps to 143kW/195PS 430Nm

2.0TDI 110kW/150PS 340Nm engine remaps to 143kW/195PS 430Nm

2.0TDI 140kW/190PS 400Nm engine remaps to 162kW/220PS 450Nm

Is that still Stage 1 tuning? I think remapping to those parameters would require some other hardware changes as well.

dtintecno.de don't use the terms Stage 1, Stage 2, etc.

Their remaps are for standard hardware.

I expect dtintecno's 143kW/195PS 430Nm remap isn't quite as powerful as VAG's 140kW/190PS 400Nm tune because VAG is likely to be more conservative in their claims compared to the remapping companies. Perhaps think of dtintecno's remapping claims as the maximum power and torque that the engine will produce and VAG's claims as the minimum power and torque that the engine will produce.
