Skoda Octavia Mk 2 Petrol 2011 Estate - Clicking sound behind drivers side dashboard

Featured Replies

Hi. My car has just started making a clicking sound. It's coming from near behind the end of the dashboard on the driver's side, very close to the door. It's constant and occurs when the engine is both turned off and when driving. All electrical functions seem to be opearting correctly - lights, wipers, radio, aircon etc. Does anyone have any idea what may be causing this? Thanks for reading this.

Not sure but I had a clicking sound from near the middle of dash. I think it might be air control flaps/motor? It mainly happened when I switched engine off. It also made a low whine like noise. Never did get to the bottom of it.

I suspect it is a relay in the tray that is located under the dash to the right of the steering column. It drops down for access.

Should be able to touch each relay in turn to discover if/which one is clicking.

Can't help further at the moment as I have just come home from major surgery.

Thanks for your thoughts and suggestions. Thankfully, after three days it has stopped. Fingers crossed!
