Skoda Octavia 1.8TSI 4x4 CJSB Muffler Delete

Featured Replies

So I have been thinking about this for while now and I just wanted to hear an opinion.

I have a 2018 Skoda Octavia 1.8TSI 4x4 CJSB (as the title suggests) and I was thinking about emptying the rear mufflers of any insulation that it has and leaving them like that.

The only thing that is setting me back is if it's worth it or not, I keep going back and forth about it

First, I don't know if it would make a substantial difference or not. Second, I don't know if on a long drive it would become anoying or not.

Last but not least, I don't know if it's worth it if I get stopped by the cops since I kinda want it to sound more sporty but at the same time I like flying under the radar

I am looking forward to hearing your thoughts!

Thanks !

Worth it in what terms?

Substantial difference to what?

Nobody can advise you on a hypothetical situation of being stopped by the Police and whether you consider any hypothetical fine to be "worth it" for the value you get from the modification.

Worth it and substantial in terms of the sound, I was just wondering if it would sound nice or it would be obnoxius

Honestly - I don't suggest you do it - unless you want your image to be a slammed car....dodgy LED lights wired onto the battery and a loud exhaust. Its not cool.

Muffler deletes will get you pulled over and will definitely fail an MOT.
