Has anyone purchased a 2025 Skoda Superb and experienced a malfunction?

Featured Replies

Would you recommend it for the 2025 model superb? Also, will there be a sunroof and a slat on the rear trunk?

  • 1 month later...

After reading about the issues others have mentioned here I had a sense of trepidation when I collected my 2025 Superb Hatch 265 PS L&K. After just a couple of weeks I got an amber warning "Fail: damper" and I thought 'oh, here we go'. After returning to the dealership it turned out to be a connector to a sensor had come loose. The sensor in question is one that ensures the car remains level under heavy braking or acceleration. They surmised the connector wasn't fully pushed home when the car was built.

Other than that the car has behaved so far, though it's only a couple of months old and has only done short journeys. A trip to Germany next month should (hopefully not) reveal any other issues.

A sunroof is only available as an option on the estate (panoramic).

If by slat you mean the sliding storage hanger, I believe that is standard.

I have had mine since the end of December. No major issues. The only significant niggle is the assist system camera not working on cold mornings for 5 minutes. It tends to mist up over night.

I collected my Superb L&K estate hybrid in December 2024. No problems with it very pleased with the car. Just be aware of the violent Pedestrian Detection. It is like hitting a brick wall.

Echo exactly what John625 said - picked mine up in December, a couple of minor niggles although nothing serious enough to take it in for fixing yet. Great car, and the petrol 1.5 eTSI version is incredibly economical (around as good my Audi A2 1.4 petrol was in 2001) once you learn how to drive and coast in the the most efficient manner.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it based on my own experience.
