Changing Radio on Skoda Superb II

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I'm currently replacing my RNS510 (Columbus) with an MIB2 device that supports CarPlay.

Everything is working correctly except for the microphone. My car originally had the Bluetooth hub (7P6035730C) installed, which I have already disconnected. I'm now trying to bypass the microphone on the connector, but so far, I haven't had any luck.

Has anyone encountered this issue before?

Does anyone have the pinout for this bypass?

Thanks in advance.

@vdias Not an answer to your question, but have you used a quadlock adapter to connect the MIB2 radio? Where did you put this adapter? It looks like there is not enough space for such a large adapter behind the head unit...

B.t.w. you shouldn't just use a bypass, but also have to change the pins on the radio side, to connect the old aux wire from the bluetooth module to the microphone-in connection. (Or you need a quadlock adapter who does this).

Here is a diagram (and a picture) I collected:

Fixed the microphone issue.

Now there's a new problem—the radio clock is stuck at 00:00. The steering wheel controls, microphone, navigation, and fuel alerts all work fine, but the clock isn’t updating.

The bigger issue is that my battery died overnight. Not sure if it was just bad luck or if it's related to this problem.

Rather bad luck, pls share part number and SW version of your MIB2 unit.
