@pab567 hi, my otherwise perfect Yeti is doing the RNS510 reboot loop - would it be possible for you to send me the 6276 firmware link so I can see if an update solves the problem? Many thanks - here’s the unit label.

This is non-EU version (probably US), has it been reworked into EU version? Because EU soft will NOT work in non-EU unit unless it has been reworked...

its a us model. What are the steps for it to get out of infinite boot loop other than firmware update on a disk? Also would you mind sending the download to the said version if it can fix it? Thank you

This is the only possibility I know... Unfortunately I don't have firmware for US version...

Sorry for my innocence but how can i rework my 510 from us to eu?

You need service tools (e.g. SetConfig) and EU radio board (US radio board is not compatible with EU firmware).

Hi @pab567 I’m having the same issue with the loop, but I’ve got the EU version. The current firmware is 5708. I tried installing 5238, but it wouldn’t accept it as it’s a downgrade. I’m now planning to try firmware 6270.

Thanks for your support!

5708? I have NEVER heard about such firmware, could you pls post the picture of label from upper case?

6270 neither 6276 will work in your unit for sure, don't even try

When I inserted the CD (FW5238_modified), this error message appeared: downgrade error

Target loaded with media version – 5807201
Inserted media version – 5807201

SWL cannot proceed because the target is loaded with a newer CD than the one inserted.

So you'r reason it's 5807 not 5708

This is NOT EU unit - this is US unit. It will NOT work with EU firmware unless it is reworked...

I’m not sure if it’s been modified or not. There’s a possibility that the previous owner tried to update it with European firmware, whereas mine is the US version as you said.

So I need to update it with a firmware newer than 5807, and it has to be the American version, right?

Hello,

I've also gotten the boot loop error on my unit.
I can hear the speakers "pop" and the background lightning on the button light up, the CD-drive spins up, and then it gets quiet.
The display don't light up at all, no Skoda logo, nothing.

Then restarts the same procedure... which drains my battery.

When this started, it was boot looping but it displayed the Skoda Logo and eventually worked (after x numbers of restarts).
Now I can occasionally see two white stripes / lines across the screen before it restarts.

@pab567 - Do you have the correct firmware for my unit? How long does an update take? Since the display is blank, I have to guess when the firmware update has been completed.

I've sent you link to download 6276 but I'm afraid this might be a hardware, not firmware problem. If firmware reflash doesn't help then you can try to have it repaired locally, start with resoldering chip i marked red in the picture below.

Good contribution. Can you help with 1941 updates for Octavia?
