2019 Skoda Superb Key

Featured Replies

Hi team,

Recently bought a 2019 Skoda Superb with KESSY I believe. Only issue is I got one key. I enquired to my local dealership to get a second key and got quotes of around $1.6k which is insane. I am looking at alternative methods and wondering if anyone has successfully done it with the same key as mine. I am just wondering to clone the keyfob as a backup, not really worried about the cut blade that sits inside the key tbh.

I am thinking of buying a VVDI tool and cloning the key, this would be significantly cheaper. Has anyone done with the same key, or have any alternative suggestions? I believe the Passat B8 also has the same key.

Apparently you also can't reprogram a key that has been used before, if this is the case then getting one second hand won't work?

Cheers

Here you go. You’ll need to get your current key cloned. I have one and it’s identical to the OE unit. £5.28 | Liberty Keyless Go Remote Car Key 3 Buttons 434MHz MQB 48 Chip FOB For VW Volkswagen Passat B8Superb A7 Magotan MQB48 2015-2019

Cheers mate. Did you clone it yourself with the VVDI tool?

No, as I just wanted the outer case, but I recalled they had the versions with the transponders fitted.
