MK2 Octavia VRS CR170 CEGA

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Hoping for some advice, around 6 months ago i stalled my octavia while in traffic and it wouldnt fire back up. Thinking this was potentially timing i parked the car up to organise tackling the job.

Started driving another vehicle and octavia was forgotten about until a few weeks ago. Figured i would get started and checked to see if the engine was actually in time, which it was and still currently is. However the engine will not fire at all, it attempts to then doesn't fire.

Currently i feel like fueling could be the issue, i am getting fuel to the filer, however the fuel at the rail it very low pressure almost a dribble. Has anyone had any issues like this, i am currently a bit stuck and out of my depth being a PD person not CR.

Many Thanks

Not sure either but maybe fuel pump failure or fuse/relay

Going to look at fuses and relays this weekend. Forgot to mention no codes through vagcom and autel scanner. Im hoping it may just be the in take pump because that its affordable. The high pressure is 500 quid at least just for the unit

I would haave thought if the high pressure pump had failed it would have thrown up a code. Hopefully its just a fuse/relay or low pressure pump.

Hi @MarcusR_VRS I am interested what the vagcom and autel scanner are, what they do, where to buy them, and should I buy them? Many thanks for all who read and contribute to these questions of mine, 😁.
