Questions about Kodiaq FL specs. on L&K trim

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have some questions about a MY2022 Kodiaq in L&K trim.

  • Front doors projects the "Skoda" logo onto the floor. Is it possible to retrofit it on the rear doors? There's the hole in the door trim, but no light in.

  • Both front and rear doors have no red taillights. Only red reflectors on front doors. Was the Kodiaq ever fitted with red door lights on both front and rear doors? If so, could anyone share the OEM P/N for retrofitting please?.

  • Front door sills have a brushed aluminium protections (with "Kodiaq" lettering). Is there an equivalent for rear door sills? I've only found OEM P/N for non FL version.

  • There's a dual floor in the boot. Is there a way to lower/fold the upper floor onto the lower one, to avoid the gap between both floors in order to maximize the available height under the luggage cover?

Thanks for your anwsers 😊

  1. Maybe, but it would be a DIY job as it was never an option. You’d have to do all the wiring and everything yourself.

  2. The original had lights, the FL only had reflectors on all variants.

  3. Never seen one. Never bothered me, but I sit in the front… 😃

  4. No. Only option is to remove the upper bit, but because it sits on ledges on either side, it will never fit between those same ledges. You can sit the removable bit on top of the non-removable bit though to increase height in back ‘half’ of the boot. The lower bit of the front ‘half’ is taken up with the spare wheel anyway. Or you can prop up the removable bit near-vertically (just lift as though it’s on hinges) in a groove, but that obviously divides the boot front/backwards.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for your quick answer! Much appreciated!

Q2: Was the original equipped on both front and rear doors?

Q4: I'll see what I can do. Thanks.

Forgot one question: There no SD card reader in the glove box. Is the only way to play MP3 files using USB-C connectors close to the phone box?

Honestly can't remember if it had lights on the rear doors... sorry.

And yes, no SD card on this MIB version - USB only.

Salut

AAWireless worked well in my Kodiaq. I've moved it now because it doesn't really fit my use case (I drive long distances in one shot) but it was good.

and you can put USB into the top glovebox if you really want, there's a couple of holes in the back. I will be trying to do this soon in mine. 12V power should be easy, I think I will be stealing ignition plus for charging purposes and data for the AA connection.
And quite probably putting a light in there, as it's not got one on pre-FL.

Interesting information. I'll take a look at what's behind the cover in the top glove box then...

my 2018 Style has the red lights in the front doors. Will have to swap them for the LED versions. And then add the rear ones...

Few additional questions about L&K trim.

1)

In my Mk3 Superb Estate, the ashtray cover is spring-loaded and closes automatically when needed.

On my new to me Kodiaq, I don't have an ashtray anymore but there's the phone box option to let a smartphone being induction recharged.

But the phone box cover isn't spring loaded. Is this the standard configuration?

2)

In my Mk3 Superb Estate, the luggage cover has a small flap just in front of the roller, to avoid any gap between the roller and the top of the back rest of rear seats. This hides the boot content

On my new to me Kodiaq Mk1, there's no such flap. The only solution I've found 'till then to fill this gap is to tilt the rear seats backrests backwards.

How is your luggage cover? With or without flap in front of the roller?

Thanks. 🙂
